About This Database
FactsforLearning is a reference database
for elementary and middle school students and professionals. It
is produced by Facts On File News Services, in conjunction with
Weekly Reader, Gareth Stevens, Inc., and World Almanac Books. Together
these companies have more than 300 years' experience publishing
reference and curriculum material.
FactsforLearning delivers content from
sources that students already know in print form, and makes that
authoritative content available through
·
full-text searching
·
topic indexes
·
tables of contents, and
·
rich hyperlinking.
FactsforLearning is designed to help
students learn and use reference skills. It offers separate modules
for elementary and middle schools. The elementary module contains
a special section called "Library & Research Skills."
The elementary and middle school modules both contain a wealth of
curriculum, activity, and study material from Weekly Reader publications.
FactsforLearning brings together content
from:
·
Weekly Reader Editions Grade 2 through Senior (Student Edition
and Teacher's Guide), Science Spin Primary, and Science
Spin Senior
·

Events, Current Health and Current Science (Student
